The stock gapped down on an earnings miss but began filling for most of the morning. This was my mistake trade of the day. There was no real set-up here besides a short flag but I had already chased the entry. I went long 100 shares at 33.55. With such a wide spread today I should not have been chasing that far from the base of the flag and the 9 EMA. I sold 50 shares 33.96 but should have been looking to fully exit based on my poor entry. The remaining 50 were sold when the stock cracked below the 9 EMA, triggering my stop at 33.19. My initial stop on this trade was at 32.80 but after it had broke out of the flag I trailed it up a bit to lower my risk.
