CLOV Trade on Jan 28, 2021 10:54 from Fedism: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

1/11/2021- Initial investment on CLOV was an entry at $15.01 with 20 shares. This is a trade idea that came from UT that I like technically at this time, until the next day when technical look weird, so I sold at a lost at 14.83 per share.

Fast forward to 1-28, I was convinced by one of my UT mates that perhaps I should get some May 15c contracts for CLOV which put it back on my WL. Underlying price for the stock was at $13.77. Next couple of days, I started thinking, if I bought shares as well, I can cash the calls at some point and just keep the shares as a runner for a bigger move and reallocation to other tickers. Those shares were bought on 2/1 at 13.72 per share.

2-4: Hindenburg research publishes a report that was short biased against CLOV, cause the share to drop a bit, about -20%. Though I wanted to sell my position, I started to really think about the times I did sell my positions through a drop and then become sad when I did sell for a loss. I decided to hold my position. Throughout the day, I was debating whether to add here or not. I wasn't sure if the stock price would be going lower, if it did, I could have added more around the 10s area instead of the 12 areas. Then an idea came from Blonde, which will now being going into my playbook. His idea of Selling the 12.5P contracts really made so much sense, because I would be able to lower my average, and be more at ease with the trade.

2-5: CLOV keeps falling deeper, but I start to feel comfortable with this dip. While Hindenburg Research did publish the report, they had no actual position in the ticker. I believed in the DD and the big money looking for a discount. My Original PT for CLOV was $20, but perhaps I should reevaluate for a PT of 17$. I have resistance levels at $13.19 , $14, $14.61, 15.26 and $16.68. Based on todays volume. I see the upside. Will be watching for these levels.

2-19: CLOV has fallen to $10.50 levels and bounced. Now that I have made it down here I had to reevaluate my decision. Thinking about it all day, Looking at the supports on Clov, I decided that I will let go of my puts on Friday the 19th. At the moment they have gone against me and now I am down on them, but I don't mind the lost of .17 cent per contract. I was thinking of letting the contracts exercise but then I really thought about my portfolio. While At the moment I don't have huge holdings on CLOV, Taking on 200 more shares will literally make CLOV 25%+ of my portfolio, which isn't very opportunistic in the face of other possible dip buys. Instead I decided to lower my average on my May leaps and will leave it at that. I believe that its nearing its bottom, once the volatile week is over, the time to wait has started. I would like to keep the shares long, but the May contracts, I am looking for a 100% run, but will check it again when it reaches 50%.

3/2/2021 - Today I closed my ClOV trade and it really stung. I really had hoped for it to come back up, but it didn't . This is one example of true emotional trading. Instead of getting out of the ticker after seeing it drop to 10.80. I held the ticker and it went against me really badly. Thinking about it, I should have stopped trying to do break even on the options and lowered my average on CLOV in the shares. I could have bought 100 more shares at 9.15, which would have lowered my average by 1.50 and given me an 11.65 average. Instead I didn't think about it well enough. Trying to chase a 17 PT which became out of reach after the lawsuit was announced. Now that the trade is closed, I can thinking of many things I could have done, and will keep that in mind for the future!
