Candle popped above the VWAP. Took 100 shares on the long side and scaled out along the way. Got out because I needed to wrap things up.

Nice trade Christy. I remember this pop , I still can't figure out what caused it though. Do you play the VWAP remount very often? Do you feel it is a consistant trade? Thanks

Lately in this market I do because of the volatility. I can just put my stop at the VWAP. I do most of my trading around the moving averages and those seem to be consistent for me. I don't take a lot of shares either (max 200 in any one stock). There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason for some of these pops. Even with flags you have to be careful because I've seen a few times where the flag really doesn't pan out. Hoping to be trading live in the next 2 weeks.

Yea the flag break failures are common in bear market trading imo. When you go live pay very close attention to trading your strategy. I have seen it with many people (including me), that psychological demons creep into the traders mind. If you find that you are trading too conservative or that you are not performing the same as on the sim be sure to step back and determine why. Be sure to monitor your trading even closer after you go live. You are a very good trader and I know you will succeed.

Yeah I heard everyone goes through some psychological demons. On the sim you are trading monopoly money but live you are dealing with real money. I'm going to start off slow and not get too greedy. Thanks for saying I'm a good trader. I really want to succeed. I'm doing all I can now to try to prepare for it.
