Opening Drive- No edge, wrong read on the set up, no confirmed play- Trading price action - TSLA

Was not clear with where I wanted to put my focus on the open and wound up chasing into random price action.
My thought process-

TSLA might be in play leading up into a key event for the company tonight
I was tired and had planned for a potential morning scenario but had not done the work required to plan out a potential opening drive play.
If I dont do the work required, I should not be looking for the play.
No edge, was just forcing a play into R looking for something I wanted to see develop.
Why did I pass/take this play and most importantly, why is this set up in my Anti-playbook trade
Took this trade.
anti because it was not my play and not a set up I had planned for.
Why did it happen and what do I need to do next time so that that doesn’t happen/Better approach
If I dont put together a plan for the open, dont trade the open.
