SIM DAY #11

Shares traded (day): 5800
Closed P&L (day): $2,378.00

Had a solid day I feel. I did not get the opportunity to trade right at the open as I had planned to, but I did find time to trade for a quick 30 mins roughly 50 minutes into the trading day. With $NFLX releasing earnings yesterday after hours, it was my primary stock to trade today. I managed to jump back on the trading platform and trade for a second-30 minute window later in the afternoon, and found a nice play on $AMZN to the long side as it broke over EMA's and previous highs.

Shares traded: 4800 (NFLX only)
Closed P&L: $1854.00 (NFLX only)

I looked to short the stock once it broke it's low of day in which it had previously touched twice already on the day. As I noticed the stock bounce to its EMA's, I looked to add to my size, and then scaled out, taking profits as the stock continued to drop in price. I would have liked to add more size as it bounced again, looking to short the stock further, but I ran out of time for the morning and had to get back to my day job.

Man you really hammered this thing! Just curious, was your stop somewhere above that flag just prior to the second flush?

@JamesDover_BOWS Yes, i felt as though the stock was going to continue it's downtrend based on the volume pattern and overall market. I was expecting that deeper pullback and I placed my stop somewhere around $102.50-$103.00, basically that level of consolidation you see on the 5-minute candle chart that was occurring at 10am. Then just added to my position as the pullback got deeper, expecting it to flush.

Very nice. I'm just now going to try scaling into setups slowly rather than all in at once. Solid strategy indeed.
