SIM DAY #12
Shares Traded (Day): 22,000
Closed P&L (Day): $2,815.50
Today was probably my best day yet. I traded 3 different stocks, and traded $NFLX two separate times today, once during the open, and again later in the afternoon. I had 1 losing trade ($LABU) and 4 winning trades ($NFLX, $LABU, $KMI, and $NFLX again). I am continuing to work on my entry points as they are definitely still in need of improving, overall. But I am beginning to discover and consciously recognize my trading habits. I prefer to scale out in bunches, rather than just in thirds or halves. I tend to scale out of my biggest position size with my initial profit taking, to guarantee some solid profits, and then as I continue to scale out, I tend to decrease my size less and less, stretching shares for higher profits.
Shares traded: 3,000 ($NFLX morning only)
Closed P&L: $1,051.00 ($NFLX morning only)
I looked to short $NFLX in the morning after I saw the first pullback on the 1 minute chart. Once the price broke below the previous candlestick's low, I got in. I had a tight stop as I knew it was a risky trade, with the stock already extended, but I was able to time it well enough to take profits as the price dropped as far as it would.
