SIM DAY #18

Shares traded: 4,800
Closed P&L: $-1,573.00

Had a really nice trade turn VERY bad as I lost connection. I had a really profitable trade as I found flags on the 1-minute candle chart to long the stock. Found multiple flags where I got back into the stock adding to my position after scaling out for profits. The price fell back towards my original buy price where I had moved my mental stop to and I accidentally hit the wrong button. Hit buy when I meant to hit sell. Would not have been too big of a problem because I was going to instantly sell all remaining shares right back. However, for the first time I believe, I lost internet connection somehow while at work, and didn't regain it for almost 5-10 minutes. By then, the price had really dropped. Sold all shares as soon as I could. But the damage was done. So frustrating and irritating when you have a solid trade, bringing in profits, then 1 stupid thing can erase them all.

With so many executions and your accident with the tool, it's difficult to understand what your setup was or what your intentions were. Dang, I really hate it when I used to mess up an entire trade theme because I hit the wrong buttons, but I did it several times.

Only thing I can see that MAY be helpful is ... be careful about consistently taking trades where you take more heat than profit. I mean, it seems this was a good trade minus the platform error.
