I try to categorize breakout of consolidation type of trend continuation vs. a pullback off a pivot type (hope this makes sense)
for consolidation types i try to get in around half way of consilidation (top of consolidation vs bottom) anticipating continuation or at least my first risk trim target
for pivot i trade vs previous bar

Good buys at support as opposed to breakout. Gives you a better price. Do you do this for all stocks? or categorize breakout type of stock vs pullback type? Hope that makes sense.
