*What was the result of the trade, what happened? This was a profitable trade. $UAL reported earnings beat after hours. I took an after hours trade at 43.44 with 50 shares after $UAL announced earnings beat and the price action broke the 1-minute high of the announcement candle. I had a daily pivot at 44.17. I set my 1st profit target at 44.00. The price action quickly reversed against me, but I stayed in the trade. Eventually the price action gapped up and I was able to take my 1st partial at 44.13. The price then started to chop and stayed in consolidation, so I decided to scale out at 43.68.

*EVALUATION- What was good or bad about the trade (what worked according to plan in the trade)? Good: $UAL reported earnings beat. The price action broke the 1-minute high of the announcement candle. Bad: The price action reversed hard against the direction of my trade.

*ANALYSIS- Does the trade make sense to you now that it is over? Yes.

*CONCLUSION- What is the final judgment of the trade (draw conclusions)? I'm glad I was able to take profit after the price action reversed strongly against the direction my trade. I was a little confused when earnings was released earlier then expected and I was trying to figure out which candle was the announcement candle.
