*What was the result of the trade, what happened? This was a profitable trade. $AMD reported earnings beat after hours. I took an after hours trade yesterday at 86.30 with 50 shares after $AMD announced earnings beat and the price action broke the 1-minute low of the announcement candle. I had levels at 83.76 (DP) and 81.79 (DP). I set profit targets at 81.50. The price action gapped down but I did not partial or scaled out of my position before the end of broker hours, so this position turned into an overnight trade. Once the broker was opened to take my order, I took a 2/3 partial at 83.65 and scaled the rest of my shares at 83.50 before the opening bell.

*FEELINGS- Describe what you thought and felt during the trade? Rested and reset from the tough after hours trading I had yesterday.

*EVALUATION- What was good or bad about the trade (what worked according to plan in the trade)? Good: Not much, except that I was able to recover some of my loses. Bad: I entered a very volatile trade and had to hold the trade overnight since I traded past the broker hours for placing orders.

*ANALYSIS- Does the trade make sense to you now that it is over? Yes. The after hours trading did not work out well and I held the first trade out of two attempts too long which lead me to revenge trade on this one.

*CONCLUSION- What is the final judgment of the trade (draw conclusions)? I was fortunate to recoup some of my loses. But I P&L traded and did not trust the charts.

*ACTION PLAN- How are you going to avoid the mistakes you made on this trade? How are you going to make sure you get the same results the next time if the trade was good? I will move into SIM trading for after hours trading until I can build more confidence trading this strategy.
