Intraday
- Not on premarket scanner, saw it developing intraday.
- Quick review of intraday levels. Whole market has been selling off, the chart also showed this so it was safe to assume the same.
- Max shares 40.
Open
- Trade 1: First trade was on a major pullback to the VWAP, I was FOMO and so I took first and only entry to be safe. It resolved and I took first 1/2 position partial almost 1$ after! Not sure why I held so long on the remaining position after seeing several candles develop against me, other half at break even.
- Trade 2: I knew the price action would not hold above the VWAP but nonetheless I waited for the confirmation to the downside on both charts. First entry right at VWAP, second entry slightly below it. I was in 75% of total position. First 50% partial on the first leg down on the 1 and 5 min. Held the rest down the second leg for another 50% and all later out on consolidation candles.
Reflection
- For my first trade it should not have let my winner turn into a break even while seeing candles develop strongly against me.
- For my second trade, the entries were great and so were the 2 partials but the last partial I should have held comfortably knowing that the stock was weak and in my favor, I lost out on the last leg down $2 more dollars! On those 5 remaining shares it could have meant 10 extra dollars!
- You must hold onto your last remaining shares to the very end but not if price action is developing against you
- On the 1 min chart it was slowly climbing up but the 5 min chart wasn't super convincing it was going to go against you completely, it could have even been an additional entry point on a major pull back for more gains!
- We dont need to open and close positions, we can be fluid and enter positions, take partials, add on the major pull backs, take more partials and repeat until its time to get out completely. The trade is FLUID.
