sigh

Another trade that I left for no reason. (This one and MM). Intraday flag, dips were getting bought. I exited because I felt like I was overtrading. It ended up running up 30 cents.

Next time:
Be confident in every trade you take. Know your plan. Always have a good reason to enter AND always have a good reason to EXIT.

John, when do you feel like you are overtrading? Is it too many trades open at once, too many in a day, or something else? Just trying to get a feel for that myself.

I like the rules you've set for yourself in the comments. Good thing is you have the eye and instinct for entry and this mistake is a simple fix!

Thanks folks! I definitely was overthinking this one.

Kyle, to me I'm overtrading if I noticed myself taking too many trades that aren't really setups at all. Example: http://www.tradervue.com/shared/trades/596835

One of Maribeth's trading rules is "Never trade out of boredom." I was bored when I found this trade (and $MM). It turned out to be a valid setup, but just before I exited, I thought, "Well since I took this out of boredom, I'll probably lose money."

It's best to not overthink it and be confident. If it fails, you'll still be successful if you learned something.
