Trade Review

Play: gap and crap reversal on a day 1 gapper, happened to be a bottom bouncer as well

Big Picture:

• Had after hour news the day prior on Marin Software Enhances Its Microsoft Advertising Integration
• It had ran to a high of $0.68 in after hours with a consolidation throughout near those highs, had a previous close of $0.2871
• Small gap down of the period of consolidation in premarket, but it held a key first dip area off the PR and held the overall trend
• Traded about 14 mil shares, almost rotating float, meaning not all shorts were out off that move in after hours, never really faded and held support

Scanner:

• It was the second top percent gainer in premarket
• SPY dumped from the highs
• ADIL was the top percent gainer as a healthcare stock

Technical Analysis:

• Float 17.5 mil
• Support: $0.46
• Resistance: $0.62 and $0.68
• Dilution: No warrants, but ATMs and two baby shelfs

Thesis for the trade:

Liked the overall trend, setting up nicely for a gap and crap reversal, was hitting all my parameters, never gave a reason for shorts to cover until it was holding the support off the first dip from after hours, held it very nicely. No real overhead resistance

Trade Management:

Price Target(s): Should of been my resistance levels but sold early into VWAP

Stop: $0.472 which was LOD

What Do I Need to Improve:

I'm selling early, way to early. More of a panic sell even though it's into strength, I need to let things play out and hit my resistance levels. I did sell into VWAP but sold some before it. STOP DOING THAT.

Did I stick to my plan/risk or move my risk mid trade: Stuck to my risk, but price targets weren't firm.
