I fumbled the entry into this short off the breakdown of the large bear flag on the daily. I was determining my risk, it started breaking down and I missed the first fill on my limit, tried resetting it twice and ended up chasing it down. I was unhappy with this entry and exited right away, because rr was gone.
Execution detail:
Decent short, a little late on entry and covered too soon.
I've found sometimes it's hard to do a limit order for an entry when the stock is moving quickly. Recently I've started using market orders to enter and keep limit orders for exiting my partial positions. I've found that the number of times I don't get filled on a limit order outweigh's the couple cents I might miss with a market order. I will also keep to a market order if I'm exiting because the stock broke support. That way I know I'm not going to get stuck in a loosing trade trying to get the order back in at a much worse price. Hope this helps.
Thanks Lonnie, I might add this strategy into my game.
