The play was valid, I bought a bit high and wasn't prepared to risk more than I was down, so I bailed. Bought when I meant to sell, at that point had I waited a minute, I would have gotten back most of my loss.

Careful with those big candle in this type of market. As you said play was valid bit since u bot too high , u would not be able to risk much. Ideal buy was once u stopped and it got back over hat EMA.
